Tragic news in the wrestling world as veteran lucha libre wrestler Silver King — real name Cesar Cuauhtemoc Gonzalez Barron — suffered a health-related issue during a match at a London show on Saturday night and later died. He was 51.

It is believed that he suffered a heart attack, but the cause of death is not yet official.

Silver King was wrestling his second match of a day/night lineup at the Lucha Libre World promotion's "The Greatest Show of Lucha Libre" event in London. He was wrestling Juventud Guerrera and connected with a clothesline and then made the cover, with Guerrera kicking out. King then struggled to move with Guerrera kicking him in the shoulder and making the pin to end the match.

The rest of the show was cancelled and he was later pronounced dead.

Silver King began wrestling in November 1985 at the age of 17 with him going on to wrestle for Mexican promotions that included CMLL, AAA, and UWA. The second generation wrestler and son of Mexican legend Dt. Wagner joined WCW in 1997 where he was a part of the cruiserweight division.

He lost his mask early in his career to El Hijo del Santo. He would go on to team with El Texano to form Los Cowboys as they would become tag team champions in various promotions.

King also received fame for his role as the lead villain Ramses in the 2005 film "Nacho Libre" starring Jack Black.

Black posted a picture on his Instagram account paying tribute to King.
