The first shocker of the PLE occurred in the second match, and it was the worst nightmare for the tag-team champs. In a women's three way for the belts, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair were dethroned without even being a part of the final pin.

After a back-and-forth, and sideways competition, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn pulled off the major upset, with Dawn pulling Cargill off of Zoey Stark after the Road Warrior-donned duo had seemingly moved into position to defend their title. The homegrown talent then took the pin for the belts in a stunning reversal of how most saw the match going.
