Renee Young has been impressive during her two recent stints filling in on the WWE "RAW" broadcast team. The company took notice and has decided to make a change to its flagship show.
WWE announced on Monday that Renee Young will join the "RAW" broadcast team alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves on a full-time basis, becoming the first woman to hold the position. She replaces Jonathan Coachman who is being shifted over as the host of WWE pay-per-view kickoff shows.

The 32-year-old Young has been outstanding in her various roles with the company since she began in 2012, most notably a backstage interviewer for WWE TV shows and host of their pay-per-view kickoff shows. Young is also a part of the the second annual Mae Young Classic broadcast team that is current airing on the WWE Network.
Young tweeted about her new position:
I am so so so insanely excited about this! To be the first woman to take over that chair that so many amazingly talented voices and personalities have sat in before me! Thank you to @VinceMcMahon @StephMcMahon @TripleH @MichaelCole and @WWEGraves (and MANY others) ❤️⚡️⚡️ https://t.co/fOKRKlheHE

The move makes sense considering how well Young has filled in on "RAW" and has earned the promotion along with WWE putting an emphasis on giving women more opportunties. Plus, Coachman has been taking on more work with World Long Drive Association on the Golf Channel that would take him away from the Monday night show on occasion.
Young begins in her new role on Monday night in the final "RAW" before this Sunday's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. Meanwhile, Coachman will start his new duties that night.
Every evolution needs a voice to tell its story. Incredibly proud of @ReneeYoungWWE - welcome to the #Raw commentary team! https://t.co/2uiTaFdoqS
