There is no love lost between Ethan Page and Joe Hendry. The two had a sensationally heated buildup to their NXT Championship match at No Mercy, and the main event did not disappoint, as special guest referee Trick Williams helped add that much more spice to the match and especially the outcome.

But in classic Page fashion, “All Ego” was exactly that following his victory over the TNA superstar and making it clear it doesn’t matter how many times you say his name, or how many times he appears — Page will never believe in Joe Hendry.

“Just like I said, ‘The era of Ego continues,’” said Paid. “And that meme can take his bags and go back to work. Oh yeah, he doesn’t work here.”

Cold world. Get a blanket.

Don’t expect that bout in Denver to be the last time you see Hendry in crossover work from TNA to NXT. Quite the contrary, actually, considering his draw and pop are consistently massive and growing with each appearance, having effectively become a worldwide phenomenon for both brands simultaneously.

His match with Page marked the first time in history that a TNA men’s superstar fought for an NXT title at a PLE (Jordynne Grace having achieved that previously for the TNA women’s division against Roxanne Perez at Battleground), and everyone wants more of Hendry.

And more the Universe shall receive.

Sorry Ethan, but not sorry.
