During last weekend's Money in the Bank, Drew McIntyre did a same-day cash-in in a losing effort. He challenged to take Damian Priest's title, but was interfered with, as promised, by CM Punk. The winner of the six-person ladder matches wins a championship-opportunity contract they can cash in at any time, on any promotion and jump to the front of the line for a title shot. Yes, even on the spot.

Meanwhile the women's champion, Tiffany Stratton, didn't look to take advantage of her opportunity during that PLE. On Friday Night's SmackDown, Stratton came close to executing a speedy cash in. Following Nia Jax's defeat of Michin, with both Stratton and Women's champion Bayley at ringside, Jax and Stratton teamed up to bludgeon Bayley into a heap in the middle of the ring.

As Jax left the ring, Stratton came tantalizingly close to cashing in her briefcase which looked like an easy pin opportunity. That would've moved Stratton into the crosshairs of Jax, who as Queen of the Ring has an automatic match against the current champion at SummerSlam on August 3.

Stratton thought better of it as Jax towered over her and decided to hold onto her contract.

In the seven previous years of the Money in the Bank concept, all seven women's winners have succeeded in cashing in their opportunities and become champion. Stratton had the perfect opportunity to make it 8-for-8, but her fear of her friend (for now) Jax kept her from shooting her shot.

Here's a look at the previous seven winners and how they eventually cashed in their opportunities.

Cashed in: April 10, 2018, Friday Night SmackDown

Carmella actually won MITB twice, the first being a controversial win when her man, James Ellsworth, actually retrieved the briefcase. After winning the do-over on SmackDown, she waited a while until Charlotte Flair was beaten down after an attack by the Ilconics.

Technically Asuka didn't cash in her title, instead she was awarded the RAW Women's Championship after Becky Lynch announced she was stepping away due to pregnancy and revealed the breifcase contained the RAW Women's belt and not a contract.
