LA Knight delivers scathing promo after WWE United States Champion Logan Paul launches sneak attack image

Much to the delight of the entire WWE universe, the feud between LA Knight and WWE United States Champion Logan Paul is back on the front burner, and it is absolutely cooking with only days remaining before the “Money in the Bank” premium live event on Saturday, July 6 in Toronto, Canada.

It took Knight trespassing on Paul’s property — much like he did to “The Phenomenal One” A.J. Styles — to motivate him to finally show up and face him on WWE SmackDown, only Paul didn’t technically face him at all.

He enlisted the aid of Santos Escobar as a distraction before launching a sneak attack on Knight from behind then delivering a knockout overhand right.

Afterward, Knight cut a superb promo, warning Paul of what comes next.

“Logan Paul, I’m talking straight to you. I’m talking directly to you,” said Knight. “There is nothing that I like more than what happened tonight, and I’ll tell you why, because that’s step one. Look, a couple weeks ago I looked right down this [camera] barrel and said I want the U.S. title and what’d you do?

“You said no. I showed up at your house and everybody thought it was so ha ha and hee hee, and that it was funny and, you know what? It was.”

That’s where the laughs came to a crashing halt, though.

“But let’s talk about what it really was,” he added. “It was a message. And if you didn’t get that message, loud and clear, then let me spell it out for you. What I’m telling you is just the same way I showed up in your pool and made it mine — I will show up, I will take that United States Championship and I will make it mine.”

Knight is now set to face both Paul and Escobar in a MITB triple threat qualifier on the June 28 episode of SmackDown.

How’s that for stacked odds?

“You can blindside me. You can do anything you want, it doesn’t make a difference,” said Knight. “Here’s the thing, my guy: Nobody’s ever given me the easy road. Nobody’s ever wanted to give me the kind of grace to just take it easy. Nah nah! And that’s OK! I ain’t complaining about it.

“I’ll go the hard way. I will walk in next week and I will lay you out. You’ve got a target on your back so big right now, my guy. It doesn’t matter. Santos Escobar, good luck to you. It’s me, it’s Logan Paul, and I am dropping you.”

It’s unlikely Paul wants to face Knight one-on-one, again, and with the title on the line, so it stands to reason he’ll likely level up his alliance with Escobar to try and get Knight out of the MITB picture but there’s a hitch in the giddyup of that potential plan.

It’s the fact Escobar is as conniving, if not more so, than is Paul and, when push comes to shove and Escobar realizes there’s a chance he could use the briefcase to take the belt off of Paul, well, things could get deliciously deceptive on Friday.

But it would behoove neither of them to underestimate the Megastar, especially when he’s this determined and this livid — having been robbed of singles gold on multiple occasions now.

“Everything you put in tonight, just realize the fact you didn’t finish the job,” said Knight. ”Realize that you should have and the fact you didn’t is your biggest mistake.

“… The championship is mine. Yeah.”
