John Cena issued a challenge to the entirety of the men’s locker room in WWE when he announced at Money in the Bank he’d be launching his retirement tour that is set to end in December 2025. Effectively telling any and all comers to run up and try to see him, there is no shortage of opponents looking to step in the ring with one of the greatest to ever do it.

You can count The Miz in as one of them, though it doesn’t have to be as a combatant.

He’s fine just being in the ring with him again, even as an ally.

"I am putting my name in the hat of people that want to face John Cena [or] be beside John Cena because, selfishly, I've been in the ring a lot with John Cena, and I want more,” The Miz told the SHAK Wrestling podcast, via Fightful. “

Half of the Awesome Truth tag team, The Miz recently enjoyed an appearance or two from Cena in his tag matches with R. Truth — who idolizes Cena — and the trio enjoyed a triple Five Knuckle Shuffle at one point this year.

They've also done the whole face-heel dance a time or two.

“That's how much fun it is getting into the ring with John Cena,” said The Miz. “I also want our new talent to experience John Cena because as much as I was taught by John and I can teach what John taught me, It's always better when you have that guy there to teach you. So, I really want our younger talent to just feel that energy."

Cena said there will be a lot of different potential storylines WWE could put on him in his retirement tour, and having no idea where things go is very exciting to him.

That honestly goes for the entire WWE Universe.
