Easily the most successful TNA and NXT crossover superstar to date, Hendry was so close to taking the championship belt off of Ethan “All Ego” Page at No Mercy that he will quite literally have to gargle with Listerine to get the taste out of his mouth after falling just short due to an illegal low blow that went unseen by special guest referee Trick Williams.
And, with that, Hendry hits a soft reset to determine his next course of action, one that will continue to include action in both promotions, as he promised Shawn Michaels in Denver.

“Tonight just wasn’t my night,” said Hendry. “But remember what I said to you the first night I came in, Shawn: anywhere, anytime, any show.”
Michaels remains in his corner, though.
“You know I’m a believer,” said HBK.

As are droves of others within the WWE and NXT Universe who will continue to say his name and hope that he appears, because the aura surrounding Hendry is supercharged and infectious in all the right ways.
It’s unknown when he’ll get another shot at Page and the title, or if he’ll redirect to another belt — e.g., Oba Femi and the NXT North American Championship — but what’s promised is that Hendry isn’t going anywhere but up in both TNA and NXT.
