The England Women's team will hope to take three points from their World Cup qualifier against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday to move top of the group.

Phil Neville's side need to win after their 0-0 draw against Wales on Friday kept them one point behind their neighbours in the qualifiers.

With only top spot in the group guaranteeing a place at the World Cup 2019 in France, a fourth victory from five games would edge England closer to their goal.

Bosnia-Herzegovina have only won one game in the qualifiers and were beaten 6-1 by Russia in their last outing and will be desperate to win to avoid finishing bottom of the table.

Phil Neville

Phil Neville's Lionesses will want to extend their unbeaten World Cup qualifying run to five games and claim top spot in the group to move above Wales.

"This is our game in hand so we have to make it count and that’s what we’re aiming to do," Neville told reporters ahead of the game. "I want us to be ruthless. I want us to play with the same type of determination as we did against Wales but I want us to score goals this time."

The Lionesses will have to work hard to win the qualifier without key players such as Stokes and Kirby, but during the reverse fixture in November they won 4-0.

Neville added: "Bosnia will have a similar system as Wales did on Friday so that will mean similar problems.

“We have got to have better quality in the final third. We need to play with more speed, take more care with our passing and move the ball faster."
