With the group stage of the women's basketball tournament at the Paris Olympics in the books, it's now knockout time. Eight teams have advanced to the quarterfinals, but Team USA is the clear favorite to win the gold medal.

Led by Breanna Stewart and A'ja Wilson, the Americans went undefeated in Group C. In their final pool play game against Germany, Jackie Young came off the bench and scored 19 points, helping the team secure an 87-68 victory.

Team USA will next face Nigeria in the quarterfinals. Nigeria made history by becoming the first African team, men's or women's, to reach the quarterfinals in Olympic basketball. The team clinched a spot by defeating Canada, 79-70, on Sunday behind a 21-point performance from Ezinne Kalu.

Nigeria has defied the odds by getting to the knockout stage. Can the Nigerians shock the world by ending Team USA's 58-game Olympic winning streak, or will the Americans take one more step toward an eighth consecutive gold medal?
