There is one big question heading into the 2024 Olympic women's basketball tournament: Can anyone stop Team USA?

The Americans come in with hopes of winning an eighth consecutive gold medal. Sabrina Ionescu, Kahleah Copper and Alyssa Thomas will all compete as Olympians for the first time in their careers, while Diana Taurasi, A'ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart will bring veteran experience to the locker room.

Team USA is coming off an impressive 84-57 win over Germany last week in London. The key to that performance was having an opportunity to practice after losing to the WNBA All-Stars during the WNBA All-Star break.

"I thought it was a practice that we needed," Team USA head coach Cheryl Reeve said. "You don't get many opportunities and I loved our approach. ... There were a lot of intangibles that occurred in the practice that were great for us."

The Americans will begin their quest for gold against Japan in a rematch of Tokyo's gold medal game. Can Team USA continue its run of dominance?
