The WNBA's two best teams — the Liberty and the Lynx — will take the court in Game 1 of the 2024 WNBA Finals on Thursday night.
New York is seeking its first-ever WNBA championship. A trophy would cap off a season in which the Liberty became the first team in league history to win 30-plus games in back-to-back years.
The Lynx, however, have been a thorn in the side of the Liberty all season. Minnesota beat New York in three of the four regular season matchups, including a victory in the Commissioner's Cup Championship game on June 25.
