Caitlin Clark is one of the WNBA's brightest young stars, and she's been one of the reasons for the league's recent growth.

Though she's not the only reason the WNBA has increased viewership, she's arguably the most popular player, especially in this year's draft class. That said, not every NBA fan knows how to spell her name correctly.

The first name Caitlin has different spelling variations that all sound the same: Caitlin, Caitlyn, Kaitlin, Kaitlyn, Catelin, Katelyn and Katelynn are just a few of the ways one could spell it.

The last name Clark also has various spellings, but way less than Caitlin, and fans aren't mixing that up. Here's how WNBA fans are misspelling Clark's name and reactions to the constant inaccuracy.

The Indiana Fever's rookie point guard is often the main talking point when she's playing. Her popularity has remained high after the Fever drafted her No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Some fans, however, are spelling her name as "Caitlyn Clark," which has irritated others on social media. It's not just one or two people making the mistake either. Thousands of users are spelling her name incorrectly, as can often be seen on X's trends tab.

Between fans, celebrities and reporters, the world is attempting to remind each other how to spell Clark's name correctly.
