House of the Dragon season 2

Are you “Team Green” or “Team Black?” That will be one of the most important questions for fans and the realm as “House of the Dragon” returns for its much awaited season 2.

The prequel to “Game of Thrones,” one of the most popular shows in the world, “House of the Dragon” enthralled viewers with its unique storytelling that added another layer to the GOT lore created by George R. R. Martin. Based on the book "Fire & Blood” from the “A Song of Ice and Fire” franchise, it is set 200 years before “Game of Thrones,” when the Targaryen’s ruled all.

The first season introduced us to King Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine), a decent man who fans got to see struggle with health and the politics of choosing his daughter Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy/Milly Alcock) as his heir to the throne. However, politics and betrayal have led to the Hightower’s taking over, with Queen Alicent (Olivia Cooke) and father Otto (Rhys Ifans) leading the charge.

Rhaenyra attempts to win back her throne with uncle-husband Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) by her side. Both Targaryen and Hightower won’t just have an army to attempt to win the Iron Throne, but dragons. The “Dance of the Dragons” civil war started due to the result of the end of season one, with Rhaenyra’s son Lucerys’s death.

Westeros will never be the same again following “House of the Dragon” season two.
