Fabian Johnson was forced off with a muscle injury in the first half of Borussia Monchengladbach's Europa League match against Schalke.
The U.S. international had to depart the second leg of the round-of-16 tie just 16 minutes in with what the club later confirmed was a muscle problem.

The timing of Johnson's injury couldn't be worse for his country. The U.S. national team will face Honduras in a crucial World Cup qualifier on March 24, before facing Panama four days later.
