These athletes may not be the biggest, strong or fastest, but they are the cutest. The 2024 Westminster Dog Show is here.

While the event is traditionally held in New York City, the 148th edition will be held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for just the second time. One can only hope the dogs won't get distracted by all the tennis balls, as the Queens-based stadium is home to the US Open.

Last year, Buddy Holly, a Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen won Best in Show, the grand award. He is the first of his breed to win the title. Buddy Holly became the eight hound to take home the award, as terriers typically dominate the Best in Show event.

Who will win this year's trip to the Empire State Building and a steak dinner? There's lots of dogs to get through with around 2,500 entering the competition each year. 

Only won can win the grand prize, but there's still lots to see at the event – the agility competition, the obedience championship and event the second ever dock diving show.

Tickets are available on StubHub for Saturday, Monday and Tuesday of the Westminster Dog Show. They can be purchased for the morning or evening portion of events.

Those interested in seeing Best in Show should purchase tickets for the evening of Tuesday, May 14. The cheapest available are currently $36.
