Tottenham team news: Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Chelsea image

A potentially pivotal contest in the top-four tussle will see Tottenham make the short trip across London to take in a derby date with reigning Premier League champions Chelsea.

Spurs occupy fourth spot at present, but are only five points clear of the Blues and could be left sweating on Champions League qualification come Sunday afternoon.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will need no reminding of their dismal record at Stamford Bridge down the years, but they do remain without a Premier League win in west London – with Gary Lineker the last man to score a winner for them on the road back in February 1990.

Here, Goal takes a look at everything you need to know ahead of the game.

Tottenham injuries

Tottenham head coach Pochettino has hinted that leading marksman Harry Kane could be involved, but he is still nursing an ankle injury and Son Heung-min is more likely to continue deputising as a central striker.

Erik Lamela should fill in on the flanks, with Kane expected to return against Stoke on April 7 – with Spurs and England hoping to see him slot seamlessly back into the fold.

Toby Alderweireld made his comeback for Belgium in midweek, so could be handed a domestic recall amid uncertainty surrounding his future, but Harry Winks remains sidelined with an ankle complaint.

Tottenham suspensions

Tottenham have no players currently serving a ban.

Tottenham potential starting line-up

Pochettino is unlikely to tinker too much with a side that has collected four successive Premier League victories and suffered just one defeat in 20 across all competitions.

Hugo Lloris, Mousa Dembele and Dele Alli are likely to be rotated back in from the side which saw off Swansea in the FA Cup last time out, but continuity is the order of the day at this stage of the season.

Tottenham possible XI vs Chelsea

Chelsea team news

Thibaut Courtois and Andreas Christensen are expected to figure for Chelsea despite nursing knocks through the international break, but Ross Barkley (hamstring) and David Luiz (ankle) are likely to miss out.

Alvaro Morata scored in his last appearance – an FA Cup win over Leicester – and Olivier Giroud was among the goals for France while away with his country, giving Antonio Conte a big decision to make up front following his recent experiment with Eden Hazard in a false nine role.

TV channel & kick-off time

The fixture will be broadcast live in the UK (United Kingdom) on Sky Sports Premier League from 15:30 GMT.

In the United States, the game can be watched live on television on NBCSN and kicks off at 11:00 ET.
