We're down to the final two on the women's side of the 2024 Wimbledon Championships in the U.K., and on the penultimate day of overall play, the WTA Singles Final takes place at London's All England Club.

Unlike last year's historic decider, two seeded players will face off for the 2024 crown, both of whom have never tasted success at Wimbledon before and currently have just one major championship title between them.

Seventh seed Jasmine Paolini defeated two of the highest-ranked American players on her way to today's decider, with Madison Keys and Emma Navarro defeated in the fourth round and quarterfinals, respectively. The 28-year-old Italian is looking to claim her first major title, having lost in the final of the French Open just last month!

Paolini will face Czechia's 31st seed Barbora Krejcikova for a shot at Wimbledon glory, with the 2021 French Open winner defying the odds to also reach her first-ever final at the All England Club. Her biggest scalp was fourth seed and 2022 champion Elena Rybakina in the semifinals, and that huge win makes this final too close to call.

The other last-four clash between Paolini and unseeded Croatian Donna Vekic was the longest women's semifinal in Wimbledon history, and Krejcikova will certainly be hoping she can tap into the Italian's fatigue from that match Thursday.
