Roger Federer fought back from two sets down to defeat Marin Cilic 6-7 (7), 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (11), 6-3 in a pulsating Wimbledon quarterfinal on Centre Court.
Federer, a seven-time Wimbledon champion, staved off three match points. He overturned a two-set deficit to set up a semifinal against Canada's Milos Raonic.

In the day's first match, Raonic eliminated Sam Querrey in four sets. Querrey was the last American in the men's competition. Raonic reached the semifinals for a second time; the first was in 2014.
On the other side of the draw, Andy Murray needed five sets to knock off France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Tomas Berdych overpower Lucas Pouille to set up their Friday semifinal match.
Despite having struggled with injuries throughout 2016, Federer proved he has the mentality of a champion, avenging his 2014 U.S. Open exit at the Cilic's hands for a record-breaking 307th Grand Slam match win.
Federer called it "an incredible match" and said it was "great fun playing against Marin; he's one of the nicest guys on the tour."
"The last three sets were really good and, as the match went on, I was improving … my legs were there, my back was there … this is going to give me a hell of a boost. I'm ecstatic I was able to come through."
Federer and Raonic meet on Friday. The men's championship match is scheduled for Sunday.
