The 2019 Wimbledon Final was one for the ages as Novak Djokovic edged out Roger Federer in five sets 7-6(5), 1-6, 7-6(4), 4-6, 13-12(3) to repeat as champion.
Tennis' oldest Grand Slam seems to give us some of the sport's greatest matches and Sunday's final was certainly one we'll never be able to forget.
The marathon match between the two greats set the record for longest final in Wimbledon history (four hours, 55 minutes) and was the first to go to a fifth-set tiebreaker after The All England Club instituted a new rule last October.

After the first four sets, the two found themselves tied at two heading into the final set. Djokovic was up 5-4 and 6-5 in the set, but both times Federer was able to rally and tie it.
Djokovic's faced a critical situation several games later. After Federer broke his serve to go up 8-7, Djokovic found himself down 40-15 and facing a double-championship point. Djokovic miraculously staved off two championship points and would go on to win the game and tie the set at eight.
The two traded games until they went to a tiebreaker tied at 12 games each. There, Djokovic dominated early, winning four of the first five points before winning the tiebreaker and the match 7-3.
This is the second time Djokovic has repeated as Wimbledon champion having previously done so in 2014 and 2015. Sunday's victory is Djokovic's fifth at Wimbledon and 16th Grand Slam victory overall. He trails only Federer (20) and Rafael Nadal (18) on the all-time Grand Slams list.
