On Friday night, the tennis world will once again turn its eyes to Serena Williams, but not before two ranked Americans square off earlier in the day on tennis' biggest stage.

No. 12 Madison Keys and No. 20 Coco Gauff will take the court at Arthur Ashe Stadium Friday afternoon at about 4:30 p.m., as they look to advance in the US Open. Gauff was knocked out in the third round of Wimbledon in her most recent grand slam after making the finals of the French Open, when she fell to Amanda Anisimova.

Keys, meanwhile, is looking for her third tournament in a row making it to the bracket finals, having made it to the semifinals of the Australian Open and the fourth round of the French Open (she was absent from Wimbledon).

Both women are looking for their first career grand slams, with Gauff having made it to the US Open finals last year. Keys holds the head-to-head advantage in their one matchup, having beaten Gauff at the 2022 Adelaide International in three sets.
