Yusri hoping for lightning striking twice

The Tuesday night win over Kedah was only Kelantan's third win of the entire 2018 Super League campaign thus far and one which should lift a lot of pressure off the shoulder of the coaching staff and players alike.

Of course the fight isn't over, Negeri Sembilan's draw against Perak meant that The Red Warriors still remain in the last spot but the rematch against Kedah represents a big chance for Kelantan to ride on this renewed wave of confidence.

Midfielder Bakhtiyar Duishebekov and forward Lazarus Kaimbi are expected to be fielded once again after they also started in that 1-2 win over Kedah at Darul Aman Stadium.

"It's too early to say because they have only just been with the team and they can only be judged from the match on Tuesday. What I hope from them is better integration with the local players because that would help the team.

"I don't want to heap extra pressure on the team but their 100% is very much needed to collect more points," said Yusri in a Berita Harian report.

The arrival of the new import players seemed to have given Kelantan the right mix but they'll be hoping that it is not a short term concoction. Nik Akif Syahiran looks likely to continue to be the playmaker in the centre of midfield and now perhaps with the presence of Kaimbi, has a better target up front to aim for.

In the corresponding fixture last season, Kelantan defeated Kedah 3-1 albeit with a very different team that what Yusri will be able to field tonight.
