In the midst of M-League sides' contract discussions with their players ahead of the 2018 season, news has trickled in regarding Selangor.

On Friday, Spanish striker Rufino Segovia announced on his social media that he will be staying on at the Red Giants for the 2018 season.

The former Kitchee SC player had arrived in the 2017 mid-season transfer window, initially to fans and observers' skepticism, but he wasted no time proving them wrong.

He would score his first goal in his debut for the Red Giants, and score a total of five goals out of six league appearances by the end of the season. He then bagged as many goals for them in the Malaysia Cup, for a season total of 10 goals.

But another confirmation would surely disappoint the Red Giants fans. Defender Adam Nor Azlin looks set to leave the side, judging from his latest Instagram post.

The Malaysia U23 forward turned defender, who made his senior debut last week against DPR Korea, has not extended his two-year contract and will leave. He had joined them at the start of the 2016 season.

He did not say which team he would be joining, but rumours are rife that it is Super League champions JDT.

On top of Adam, Rizal Fahmi Rosid too has confirmed his departure. He had been with them since 2014.

Rumours:

Former Sarawak and Pahang midfielder Joseph Kalang Tie has been linked with Selangor, and is reportedly close to joining them. Although the 30-year old has never played for Selangor, he has been somewhat a favourite of the Red Giants' fans, everytime he played against them.

But surprisingly, Selangor too are rumoured to be interested in Negeri Sembilan's young attacker Sean Eugene Selvaraj. The 21-year old has primarily played for the Deers' youth team in the President's Cup this season, and was one of the squad members picked by Malaysia U23 head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee for their AFC U23 Championship qualification back in July.
