A new season of the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) WeatherTech SportsCar Championship arrives Saturday and Sunday with the 58th running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona. This year's season-opening, 24-hour endurance race at Daytona comes via NBC Sports. The network's TV schedule is stuffed full of coverage from high-profile commentators covering high-profile drivers and teams.

The 2020 Rolex 24 at Daytona is set to get the green flag Saturday, Jan. 25, at 1:40 p.m. ET. This year's field of 38 cars features four classes — Daytona Prototype international (DPi), Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2), GT Le Mans (GTLM) and GT Daytona (GTD). It's the fewest number of cars in the history of the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Last year's race was the shortest in Rolex 24 history, with rain shortening the event to just 593 laps. That allowed the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Cadillac DPi team to claim victory, and the No. 10 Cadillac team again is among the favorites to win Daytona in 2020. They'll get another push from the Team Penske Acuras, and if Mazda Team Joest can avoid the mechanical issues they had last year, both of its cars will be contenders.

Speaking of those Mazdas, Olivier Pla set the unofficial course record in the the No. 77 during the Roar Before the Rolex 24 earlier this month. Then Oliver Jarvis ran the fastest lap in qualifying to put the No. 77 on the pole for the 2020 Rolex 24 at Daytona.

A notable name from the NASCAR world has been added to the field for the 2020 Rolex 24 at Daytona. Defending Cup Series champion Kyle Busch will make his second IMSA appearance (first at the Rolex 24) when he competes in the No. 14 Lexus RC-F for AIM Vasser Sullivan Racing. That team is one of 18 in the GTD class, by far the biggest in the field.

Rolex 24 at Daytona 2020: TV schedule

NBC and NBCSN will broadcast only 16 1/2 hours of of the Rolex 24 at Daytona. However, cable or satellite subscribers can watch all 24 hours of the race on the NBC Sports App.

The first hour and last two hours of the Rolex 24 at Daytona will broadcast on NBC, with the rest of the network's coverage being shown on NBCSN. There are a couple breaks in the broadcast schedule (6-11 p.m. ET Saturday and 3-6 a.m. ET Sunday) in which the race will only be available via the NBC Sports App or NBCSports.com.

Rolex 24 at Daytona 2020: Live stream schedule

The entirety of the 2020 Rolex 24 at Daytona will be available to stream on multiple platforms. Live stream presentations can be found on NBC Sports Gold's Track Pass, the NBC Sports App and NBCSports.com.

In addition, IMSA.tv and the IMSA App will stream 24 hours of in-car cameras during the race.
