There’s no better way to kill off a game than with an insurance marker, and Barcelona SC got a sweet one in their Copa Libertadores match against Estudiantes.
With Barcelona leading the match 1-0 over the Argentine side, Tito Valencia got into space in stoppage time. He found a teammate, who gave it back to Valencia at the edge of the area. Rather than shooting, he found Ariel Nahuelpan, who blasted a shot across the keeper and into the net.
Ronaldo rises, Madrid marches on
That gave the Ecuadorian side the 2-0 lead, which is how the match finished.
The victory moved Barcelona to the top of the Copa Libertadores group with a 2-0-0 record, while Estudiantes fell to 0-0-2 with the loss.
