Although Kuala Lumpur (KL) had their hearts broken in their quarter-final FA Cup tie against Klang Valley rivals Selangor, there is a lot that the Hawks can emulate from their performance, according to forward Zaquan Adha Abdul Radzak.

After going down 3-0 in the first leg, KL mounted a comeback to level the aggregate score 3-3 in the return fixture last Saturday, only to lose out 8-7 on penalties.

Fabio Maciel's men now have to forget the cup disappointment and shift their attention back to the Malaysia Super League (MSL), with KL set to play in three league matches within a period of one week beginning this Sunday.

"The FA Cup defeat is already in the past. We did our best but it just wasn't meant to be. We have to look forward now, to our league encounter against Perak. We still have a lot to play for in the league.

"We have to carry over the spirit which we played with against Selangor. We never gave up even after losing 3-0 in the first leg, and we need that spirit against Perak. We are behind them in the standings and we need to close that gap," said the Malaysia forward when met by the press after training on Wednesday.
