The U.S. women's soccer team put to rest all questions of its status as the best in the world, but now it faces another, more polarizing question — will it visit President Donald Trump at the White House following its fourth World Cup title?
However, given Trump’s reaction after the team’s Cup-clinching victory Sunday, it may not have to worry about turning down an invitation.
"We haven't really thought about it. We'll look at that," Trump told reporters Sunday when asked if he planned to invite the team to the White House (via USA Today).
Congratulations to the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team on winning the World Cup! Great and exciting play. America is proud of you all!

The president had said he planned to invite the team to the White House regardless of whether or not they won the Cup. Then video surfaced of USWNT captain Megan Rapinoe, saying: "I'm not going to the f—ing White House."
Then Trump went on Twitter to decry Rapinoe’s stance writing in part: "Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our Flag, especially since so much has been done for her & the team."
Asked about a possible White House invitation after her team won the Cup, U.S. coach Jill Ellis answered: "I don’t know, I haven’t been invited so I can’t really say."
