It's a game neither side wanted to be involved in before the semifinals, and takes place a day before the showpiece at Qatar 2022.

The third place match at the FIFA World Cup will determine who bags the bronze medals, as Belgium did in 2018 with a 2-0 win over England.

The Khalifa International Stadium, where the penultimate fixture of the tournament will be held, has been the setting for plenty of goals during the finals, averaging four a game across its seven matches so far.

Here's all the information for the third place match, including TV information, kickoff time, betting odds and historical meetings between the two nations involved.

Croatia vs Morocco history

These two sides have met just twice before, and one of those was only a matter of weeks ago.

Forward Goran Vlaovic scored twice in two minutes to give Croatia a 2-0 lead when these teams first played each other back in 1996, meeting in the semifinal of the Hassan II Trophy in Casablanca.

After Morocco then scored in both halves to make it 2-2, Croatia showed the penalty prowess they have become renowned for to win 7-6 in a shootout.

Qatar 2022: Croatia 0-0 Morocco

The goalkeepers were the stars as Croatia and Morocco demonstrated the resilience that would take them to the latter stages of the finals when they clashed in their opening group-stage game in Qatar.

Dominik Livakovic denied Noussair Mazraoui and Achraf Hakimi after Yassine Bounou had kept Nikola Vlasic's effort out. Ivan Perisic and Luka Modric also went close for Croatia.
