The U.S. and Mexico renew their fierce border rivalry as the two North American powers meet in the first-ever Continental Clasico from Glendale, Arizona.

El Tri have struggled since being eliminated from the group stage of the 2022 World Cup, costing 'Tata' Martino his managerial job. Diego Cocca took over as the man in charge, but led the team to a disappointing home draw against Jamaica in the CONCACAF Nations League back in March.

The United States have their own adversity to manage, with interim head coach Anthony Hudson in charge as they search for a permanent boss.

This match falls outside a designated FIFA international window, meaning the rosters are not made up of the top players hailing from Europe.
