The U.S. women's national team opened Group F play last week with an emphatic 13-0 win over Thailand. Team USA's second match is Sunday against Chile, which is making its debut appearance at the FIFA Women's World Cup.
Chile's first group stage match against Sweden was marred by a 40-minute lightning delay in the second half. The Swedes returned to score two late goals and take all three points.
The USWNT is coming off a record setting win over Thailand, putting them firmly at the top of Group F on goal differential. The 13-0 scoreline is the largest margin of victory in the history of the FIFA World Cup, men's or women's tournament. Alex Morgan tied Michelle Akers' five-goal single-match scoring record and the team set the record for most second-half goals scored in the tournament, sending 10 into the back of the net.
