Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has played down comparisons between him and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
Both players have scored 44 goals each across all competitions this campaign and are contenders for this year’s top individual award, alongside Barcelona's Lionel Messi.
Salah shattered Ronaldo’s joint record of 31 goals in a 38-game season with his 32nd league goal on the final day of the 2017-18 English Premier League campaign.
And ahead of their meeting at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium on Saturday, the 2017 Ballon d’Or winner who hailed the Egypt international for a 'fantastic' season said the 25-year-old is 'completely different'.
“He is completely different. He plays with the left, I play with the right. I’m tall he’s a little bit shorter, I play with the head,” Ronaldo was quoted as by Metro.
“We are completely different. People want to compare me with other players but I’m different from everyone.
“Salah is different but I have to say he has had a fantastic Champions League a fantastic league season, but Saturday, let’s see.”
