The 2024/25 La Liga season got underway on August 15, with Athletic Club sharing the spoils with Getafe in the opening match of the season.

Reigning champions Real Madrid will be the team to beat once again. All eyes will be on their new No 9, Kylian Mbappe, who is one of the most talked-about players of this generation.

While Mbappe headlines Madrid, their arch-rivals Barcelona won't be giving in without a fight. With the likes of Dani Olmo, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski leading their charge, it promises to be an enthralling season in Spain's top-flight.

The Sporting News looks at the key fixture details this season and how to follow the matches.
