Watch: Julian Green becomes first American to score against France in USMNT history

The U.S. Men's National Team isn't competing in the World Cup this summer, but the team still found a way to make noise on the international stage in June.

Julian Green became the firstt player to score a goal against France in the history of the USMNT with a near-post strike late in the first half during a friendly in Lyon.

This was Green's fourth goal of his senior international career in just his 10th cap for the team.

The United States failed to qualify for this year's World Cup in October after losing to Trinidad & Tobago 2-1. France is listed as having a 90-percent chance to win the whole competition, per Accuscore.
