MLS title hopefuls LAFC are hoping to make good on their games in hand at the top of the table as they travel to meet the Houston Dynamo on Saturday.

LAFC trail leaders LA Galaxy by five points in the Western Conference standings, but they have played a whopping three fewer matches, meaning they hold an advantage in the race down the stretch of the season.

These two teams met just a week ago, with Houston securing a 2-0 victory on the road in LA, a second defeat in the last three for LAFC following their 3-1 loss to Columbus in the Leagues Cup final. In MLS play, however, the loss to Houston was their first defeat in 10 games.

Houston, meanwhile, are in the thick of the playoff battle. They sit seventh in the West, but are level on points with Portland and Seattle on either side of them, and are just four points above ninth-placed Minnesota in the final postseason position.
