Sebastian Giovinco is now an MLS record holder.
The Italian netted his 10th goal from a direct free kick in Sunday's 4-0 smashing of New York City FC, taking him past Javier Morales and Jeff Larentowicz who have both netted nine since MLS began keeping the stat in 2003.

As far as records go it's not the most impressive, but it highlights just how lethal the 30-year-old has been from set-pieces.
"I'm happy to have the record (for most free kick goals), but there are still more games to come," Giovinco told reporters after the match.
It wasn't the only mark he hit on Sunday either.

The win pushed TFC to 43 points on the year, five clear of nearest competitor Chicago.
