It would appear Emmanuel Boateng likes facing Real Salt Lake.

The midfielder recorded a first-half brace as the LA Galaxy notched a 3-1 win over RSL in the Western Conference knockout round Wednesday, marking his third and fourth goals since coming to MLS this past offseason.

His first two? Those came against RSL as well.

After Joao Plata's penalty canceled out Alan Gordon's opener, Boateng regained the lead for the Galaxy in the 26th minute. Carving through the RSL back line with some skillful dribbling, the winger put himself in alone on Nick Rimando and slotted home.

And he completed the double eight minutes later, blowing past Demar Phillips on the right flank and firing his low shot inside the far post to make it 3-1.

The Galaxy held on for the two-goal win, setting the stage for a Western Conference semifinal first leg against the Colorado Rapids on Sunday at StubHub Center.
