Brazil look to keep pace with rivals Argentina atop the World Cup qualifying table as the Selecao host Venezuela on Thursday.
Kicking off 90 minutes after Argentina, who meet Paraguay at home, Brazil are defending a perfect record through two qualifying matches.
Venezuela has won just once against Brazil in 28 total matches all-time, coming in a 2008 friendly. Since, they have secured just three draws (all scoreless) compared to seven defeats in 10 competitive meetings.
However, Venezuela have managed to keep Brazil from scoring in bunches, which they are often capable of doing. Since that 2008 Venezuela victory, Brazil have managed to bag more than three goals just once, although they do have six goals in the last two meetings combined.

Brazil vs Venezuela projected lineups & team news
After missing a month due to a muscle injury, Vinicius Jr is back healthy and will start for Brazil alongside teammate Rodrygo and Al Hilal superstar Neymar.
Barcelona forward Raphinha is not in the squad thanks to a hamstring injury, while Renan Lodi is unavailable and Caio Henrique is out with long-term injuries. Atletico Minero left-back Guilherme Arana is a candidate to replace Lodi on the flank.
Otherwise, the whole squad is fit and available. Gabriel Jesus and Richarlison are both available off the bench, while Casemiro will wear the captain's armband.
Brazil projected starting lineup (4-3-1-2): Ederson (GK) — Danilo, Marquinhos, Gabriel, Lodi — Guimaraes, Casemiro, Viega — Neymar — Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr.
If Venezuela head coach Tomas Rincon wishes, he can deploy the exact same lineup that took the field against Paraguay to conclude the September international break, with all 11 players available to reprise their roles.
Forward Josef Martinez struggled at the club level for much of the MLS season with Inter Miami, but has picked up his form of late and could be a danger up front if Venezuela can keep it close. He could once again play alongside the country's all-time top scorer Salomon Rondon, who now plays for Argentine giants River Plate.
Venezuela projected starting lineup (4-4-2): Romo (GK) — A. Gonzalez, Osorio, Angel, Navarro — Sosa, Herrera, J.A. Martinez, Soteldo — J. Martinez, Rondon.
