Argentina start their 2024 Paris Olympic Games campaign against Morocco in their Group B opener on July 24.

After glory in the Copa America, Argentina's U23 side head into the Olympics looking to continue a superb summer, under the leadership of former star player Javier Mascherano.

Mascherano has brought in three overage players from the Copa squad with Geronimo Rulli, Nicolas Otamendi and Julian Alvarez heading to France.

What time does Argentina vs. Morocco kick off?

This 2024 Olympics match takes place at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Saint-Etienne, France and kicks off on Wednesday, July 24 at 3:00 p.m. local time.

That means a 9:00 a.m. ET / 6:00 a.m. PT kickoff for fans in the USA.

Argentina vs. Morocco lineups, team news

Mascherano will make a late call on starting Alvarez following his role in Argentina's Copa America final win over Colombia. 

Rulli and Otamendi are expected to start, alongside highly rated midfield star Ezequiel Fernandez, and MLS star Thiago Almada in the Argentina engine room.

Argentina predicted XI (4-3-3, right to left): Rulli (GK) — Lujan, Otamendi, Garcia, Soler  — Medina, Almada, Fernandez — Echeverri, Alvarez, Beltran.

Morocco have also included three overage players in their squad with veteran goalkeeper Munir Mohamedi and Achraf Hakimi.

Former Barcelona duo Ilias Akhomach and Abde Ezzalzouli are also in Morocco's squad and should start.

Argentina vs. Morocco prediction

Argentina have won two of their three warm up friendlies with two victories over Paraguay in June before losing to Guinea in France last week.

Morocco drew with Belgium in their sole pre-tournament friendly and Argentina's firepower should be enough to secure a an opening win.
