Diego Costa’s future at Chelsea may be dominating the headlines, but the striker is paying little attention to the furore.
Having been informed that he no longer figures in Antonio Conte’s plans – despite firing the Blues to the Premier League title in 2016-17 – the Spain international is expected to be on the move at some stage over the coming weeks.
A return to Atletico Madrid has been mooted, with Goal confirming over the weekend that the La Liga side remain keen despite being stung with a transfer ban .
Costa, though, appears to be completely unfazed by the saga, with the 28-year-old currently back in Brazil and looking to take his mind off football with a spot of quad biking.
Costa netted 22 times for Chelsea last season, with 20 of those efforts helping to recapture the English top-flight crown.
He was, however, heavily linked with a move to China during the winter transfer window and has seen speculation resurface this summer.
Simeone shows Costa admiration
Were he to agree to a second stint at Atletico, then he would find himself without competitive football until January.
The Spanish side are, however, eager to get a deal done and have Costa train with them for several months before they are free to register new players again.
