Lionel Messi may be known for his brilliance on the field, but off the pitch, he's proving to be quite the prankster.
USMNT hopeful Benjamin Cremaschi has lifted the lid on what it’s like to share a locker room with the Argentine superstar at Inter Miami, and it turns out, Messi is more than just a footballing genius — he's a "really funny guy!"
Messi, who typically keeps a low profile, is enjoying life in Miami after a challenging stint at PSG. He's reunited with his old Barcelona pals — Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets — making for a fun atmosphere in the locker room.
Cremaschi revealed in an interview on the Offside With Taylor Twellman Podcast that Messi and his friends are at the heart of the dressing room banter.

What Cremaschi revealed about Lionel Messi
Cremaschi, clearly star-struck, said: "Off the field, he's a good guy. He's a really good guy. He's a funny guy. He'll joke around with everyone. All of them — Messi, Suarez, Alba, and Busquets — are really funny. They love getting on people, and it's hilarious to watch them interact with us, especially the younger guys."
For Cremaschi, playing alongside Messi is still a surreal experience, but he tries to take it all in stride. "I try to normalize things, but when I sit down and think about it, it's crazy. Their advice is invaluable, and it's really helped me and the team."
With Messi leading the banter and the team, Inter Miami have clinched the 2024 Supporters' Shield, entering the MLS playoffs as the top seed.
As the squad eyes the MLS Cup, fans are hoping Messi's magic — on and off the field — keeps working wonders.
