Heavy flooding in Recife, Brazil, put the USA's third and final World Cup group-play game against Germany in doubt as fans woke up across the United States.
Yet the pivotal match, scheduled to begin at noon ET, will go on as planned, according to FIFA officials.

The United States will advance to the knockout round with a win or tie today against Germany. There also are a variety of scenarios in which the US could lose and still advance, depending on the outcome of Ghana vs. Portugal.
