The USA is at least expected to have three of its injured players returning for the match. Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie and Josh Sargent have all been dealing with injuries heading into Saturday's contest. Pulisic and McKennie are confirmed to play with Sargent day-to-day.
Beating the Netherlands would mean advancing to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2002, when the USA beat Mexico, though it lost to Germany in the quarterfinals. It has not advanced to the semifinals since 1930, when only 13 teams participated in the inaugural World Cup.
