Uruguay and Bolivia face off with very different fortunes in the second round of matches in Copa America Group C.

While the Uruguayans shone in a 3-1 victory over Panama, La Verde suffered a 2-0 defeat to the United States in their respective opening game. That puts their chances of qualifying for the quarterfinals in serious jeopardy as they attempt to get a result against one of South America's most successful national teams.

The difference between these sides is also reflected in the odds. Uruguay are at -550 to win, while Bolivia are at a seriously steep +1500. The draw is priced at +600.

The Sporting News offers a prediction and betting tips for this clash at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Uruguay vs. Bolivia best bet

  • Pick: Darwin Nunez to score two or more goals
  • Odds: +350 (BetMGM)

In Uruguay's 3-1 victory over Panama, Darwin Nunez celebrated his first Copa America goal. Now, he is going for more.

The Liverpool striker had several chances to add to his tally and it feels likely he will continue in that vein against weak opposition, particularly with Uruguay consistently looking for the opposition goal.

Uruguay vs. Bolivia prop bet

  • Pick: Darwin Nunez to score 2+ goals and Federico Valverde to attempt 2+ shots
  • Odds: +500 (BetMGM)

Okay, yes, we know — this is a bet that requires two combinations. However, in a clash as uneven as Uruguay vs. Bolivia — at least, uneven on paper — there seems to be a fairly high probability for a bet that offers a big prize.

In their opening game, Uruguay scored three goals and conceded one against Panama, while Bolivia fell 2-0 to the United States. Add in the picks of goals by Nunez — the team's star forward — and shots by Valverde, one of the Uruguay players who possesses the best strike of a football and who is always adept at trying his luck from medium and long distances, and you could be on to a winner.
