Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan is 32-year-old! Hurray!!!

As the scorer of Ghana's first World Cup goal, the most capped Ghana international, Ghana's all-time top scorer and Africa's leading scorer at the World Cup, it is only fitting that the Kayserispor striker has drawn eulogy from all corners on his birthday.

In a travelled career that has seen him play in his homeland, Italy, France, England, the United Arab Emirates, China and presently Turkey, Gyan, who made his international debut against Somalia in 2003, has verily left a mark on the game.

Aside his many honours in the shirt of the Black Stars, Gyan was also named the BBC African Footballer of the Year in 2010, the AFC Champions League Top Scorer in 2014 and the AFC Best Foreign Player in 2014.

His accolades go on and on.

Considering how instrumental he has been with the Black Stars over the years, it is only deserving that the Ghana FA led the tributes on Wednesday.
