Wayne Rooney has opened talks with MLS side D.C. United regarding a summer switch, reports The Washington Post.

The former England captain only returned to his roots at Everton in 2017, following a record-breaking 13-year stint at Manchester United.

He still has a year left to run on his contract at Goodison Park, but the 32-year-old is said to have grown frustrated at life under Sam Allardyce and is ready to consider a fresh start in America.


Juve yet to make Morata move


Juventus have not made an official bid for Alvaro Morata despite reports in Italy stating a fee had been agreed for Chelsea's record signing, Goal understands.

The Serie A leaders have openly admitted to being intrigued by the possibility of returning the Spaniard to Turin, but they are yet to formalise their interest in a man who moved to Stamford Bridge for £60 million in the summer of 2017.

Man Utd agree Milinkovic-Savic deal


Manchester United have landed Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio for £80 million ($108M) as their first signing of the summer, reports the Sun .

While Jose Mourinho was reluctant to pay the fee, he has decided he must in order to land the midfielder with the retirement of Michael Carrick and possible departure of Marouane Fellaini.

The fee will make Milinkovic-Savic the second-highest priced player in Premier League history, after Paul Pogba. 


Is Bellerin Barca-bound?


Hector Bellerin claims to be “so happy” at Arsenal that he is paying little attention to reports linking him with Barcelona and Juventus.

Ranieri is set to depart Nantes after just one season in charge and has previously been linked with the Italy national team job.

The Argentine has grown tired of playing second fiddle to Neymar and Kylian Mbappe with the Ligue 1 champions and is keen to leave this summer.

Atletico have emerged as an option, with the Rojiblancos likely to lose Antoine Griezmann at the end of the season.


Iniesta agrees move to Japan


Andres Iniesta has agreed terms on a move to Japanese outfit Vissel Kobe, according to  ESPN .

The 33-year-old is set to sign a three-year deal worth $30 million (£22m) with the J-League outfit, having announced he is leaving Barcelona.


Balotelli in line for Marseille move?


Mario Balotelli could join Marseille on a free transfer in the summer, according to a report in Nice Matin .

Kit manufacturer Puma will take on OM's gear in the summer and as one of their key figures they are trying to push the striker in that direction.

Balotelli loves the atmosphere at Stade Velodrome, the home of the Europa League finalists, but has previously said that he would like to return to Serie A.


PSG make Donnarumma top target


Paris Saint-Germain have made AC Milan's Gianluigi Donnarumma their top goalkeeping target for the summer, according to  L'Equipe .

The Ligue 1 champions are keen to replace Alphonse Areola, though any move for Donnarumma could hinge on any potential Financial Fair Play sanctions that come their way.

The Parisiens have also held talks with Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois as they scour the market for a new No.1.


Arsenal make progress in Wilshere deal


Arsenal have made progress in their aim to extend Jack Wilshere's contract after he has enjoyed a good run of form with the club, reports the Telegraph .

The Gunners had been willing to let Wilshere depart the club last summer but now are willing to keep him at £110,000 per week with bonuses.

And Arsene Wenger has confirmed that positive talks have taken place with the England international regarding his future in north London.

Chinese club denies Iniesta contract


Andres Iniesta’s transfer to China may be in jeopardy after his reported destination club, Chongqing Lifan, said a deal may not happen.

The Chinese Super League club announced difficulties in finalising a contract due the high wage demands of Iniesta, making it hard for the club to comply with the league’s rules.

The club did not rule out a deal in the future, but emphasised the difficulties faced at the current time.

Jorginho agent confirms Premier League interest


The agent for Napoli midfielder Jorginho claims "four or five" Premier League clubs are after his client's services but the Serie A club have yet to decide his future.

Agent Joao Santos admitted that "everyone knows" of the English interest in his client, he's never talked with teams as he waits on Napoli.

Jorginho is signed until 2020 and Santos did not rule out a new deal for the Italy midfielder.

Fire officials to meet with Torres


Representatives from the Chicago Fire are in Madrid to attempt to seal a deal for Atletico Madrid’s departing forward Fernando Torres, according to ESPN .

The Fire own Torres’ discovery rights, so MLS rules state they are the only team in the league which can currently negotiate with him.

However, Torres prefers a warm weather climate, which could put the Houston Dynamo in position to sign him, while Sporting KC and the Montreal Impact are also believed to have interest.


Luis Enrique pricing himself out of Arsenal job


Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is in danger of pricing himself out of the running to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, reports the Mirror .

Enrique’s wage demands are reported to be £15 million ($20M) after tax, though that has not completely removed him from the frame.

Arsenal are hoping to name a replacement for Wenger before the start of the World Cup this summer.


Juventus plan Allegri talks amid Arsenal links


Juventus plan to have talks with manager Massimiliano Allegri after the league is decided according to the club’s chief executive.

Allegri has been linked to multiple jobs this summer, including being among the favorites to take over for Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

However Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta says the sides will talk following the club’s likely Serie A title and is confident they can mutual satisfaction over a deal.

Crystal Palace wants ‘irresistible’ offer for Zaha


Crystal Palace are willing to sell Christian Benteke but a hoping to hold onto the star Wilfried Zaha this summer, reports the Mirror .

The Ivory Coast international is believed to have interest from multiple big Premier League clubs and if a large offer comes in, Palace think they will have to cash in.

However they would prefer to sell Benteke if they can get a large chunk of the £27 million ($37M) they paid for him back.


Messi doesn’t want Deulofeu return


Lionel Messi doesn’t want Gerard Deulofeu to return to Barcelona after his loan at Watford ends, according to Don Balon .

The winger returned to Barcelona this season after impressing on loan with AC Milan.

However Deulofeu failed to impress with Barca before going back out on loan in the Premier League and Messi thinks he has had enough chances to show his quality.
