Following Wilfried Zaha's inspiring performance in Crystal Palace’s 5-0 thrashing of Leicester City in Saturday’s English Premier League contest, manager Roy Hodgson has lauded the forward.

The 25-year-old got the curtain raiser and assisted with the second goal to propel the Eagles to victory against the Foxes.

The win pushed them five places up to the 11th spot in the log as they now have 38 points from 36 encounters.

Impressed by the feat, the former English tactician heaped praises on the forward.

“Wilf today, that was maybe one of the very best during my time at the club,” Hodgson said after the match.

“He balanced running with the ball, creating chances and tracking back. His all-round game was great.

“He got the balance between when to hold on to the ball and when to lay it off. If he can continue like that there is no barrier for how high he can reach.”

Zaha has now scored eight goals in 28 league games and will be hoping to increase the tally when Palace take on Stoke City in their next league game on May 5.
