TEAM NEWS: Rooney and Lingard start for Man Utd image

Wayne Rooney and Jesse Lingard start for Manchester United against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, with Juan Mata and Anthony Martial among the substitutes.

Rooney retains the left-sided attacking spot he filled in the 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace on Wednesday, with Mata dropped in favour of Lingard on the right. Jose Mourinho's other two changes are to recall Antonio Valencia after a one-match ban and Matteo Darmian in the full-back spots, with Eric Bailly injured and Daley Blind dropped to the bench.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic again leads the line for United against Tony Pulis' Albion after netting the 88th-minute winner at Selhurst Park in midweek, with Paul Pogba remaining in the No.10 slot.

For the home side, Craig Dawson comes back after suspension in place of James Morrison, meaning Chris Brunt moves up to a midfield slot having assisted two of Salomon Rondon's three headers from left back in the 3-1 win over Swansea City on Wednesday.

West Brom: Foster; Dawson, McAuley, Olsson, Nyom; Fletcher, Yacob; Brunt, Chadli, Phillips; Rondon. Subs: Myhill, Robson-Kanu, Morrison, Gardner, McClean, Galloway, Leko.

Man Utd: De Gea; Valencia, Jones, Rojo, Darmian; Carrick, Herrera; Lingard, Pogba, Rooney; Ibrahimovic. Subs: Romero, Blind, Rashford, Martial, Mata, Fellaini, Smalling.
