Swansea City's Andre Ayew is tipped to have his first taste of action on Saturday following his re-signing from West Ham United last month.

The Ghana international joined the Jack Army on a three-and-half-year deal on Transfer Deadline Day after finding life difficult at London Stadium.

Like fellow new acquisition Andy King, Ayew's Swansea debut has been delayed as he sat out games against Leicester City and Notts County, but all is likely to end on Saturday.

“It is possible they [Ayew and King] will be in the team or in the squad of 18," Swansea manager Carlos Carvalhal said ahead of this weekend's clash with Burnley.

"They are both ready to play.

“They have trained very well. They are very good players and very good characters also.

“They are completely integrated into the team already and they can be involved for the first time this weekend.”

Ayew will be hoping to replicate the fortunes of his first spell.

In 2015-16, the Ghanaian racked in 12 goals in 34 league outings, finishing the season as the club's top scorer.

His top performance, after just one season at Liberty Stadium, saw him on the move to West Ham, who broke the bank to sign him in a then club record £20.5 million deal.

In all, he made 50 appearances and scored 12 goals during his time at London Stadium.
