Nigeria striker Francisca Ordega has made goals-scoring and her trademark celebratory dances a weekly tradition for her National Women's Soccer League side Washington Spirit.

The Super Falcons international has found the back of the net in three consecutive matches to become of the leagues leading scorers so far this campaign with three strikes in five outings.

In doing so, the 24-year-old has outshone the side's bigger names, Mallory Pugh, 2017 rookie of the year Ashley Hatch, and  Rose Lavelle who were all tipped to get the goals for the Jim Gabarra coached outfits.

But despite her imminent impact, having returned from a loan spell with Women Primera Division side Atletico Madrid, Ordega insists that this is not enough for her.

“I’m feeling good, but I think I can do better," she was quoted by Black & Red United

"Like today I got another chance to score and make my team proud, but I missed it.

"As a striker, you really need to score more. One is not enough, two is not enough, three is not enough,” she said after her side's 1-1 draw against the Chicago Red Stars recently.

“I really hope that I’m going to be that Franny that everyone knows. This is the year to just show people who I am,” she added.

“The real Franny is fun to play with, she’s strong, she’s fast, she’s a good dancer.”

Ordega will be expected to lead her side's attack again on Sunday when they travel to Utah Royals for their sixth NWSL encounter.
