CARDIFF, Wales — Luis Suarez scored a hat trick as Liverpool twice came from behind to beat Cardiff City 6-3 in the English Premier League on Saturday.
The host took a deserved lead in the ninth minute when Jordon Mutch curled a left-footed strike into the corner.
Suarez equalized in the 16th, slotting home from close range after Glen Johnson's right-wing cross.
Cardiff led again through Frazier Campbell when he netted in the 25th.
Liverpool came back when Martin Skrtel poked home in the 41st and put the Merseysiders ahead for the first time in the 54th.
Suarez grabbed his second on the hour mark before Daniel Sturridge added the fifth in the 75th. Mutch headed in in the 88th, and Suarez completed the rout in stoppage time.
